Windows 10 Technical Preview New Build ISO Dwnload

Follow these steps to download Technical Preview:

• Sign up for the Windows Insider Program, if you haven't already.
• Read the system requirements.
• Click one of the Download links on this page to download a special file—it's called an ISO file—that you can use to install the preview.
• When the download is complete, transfer the ISO file to installation media such as a USB flash drive or DVD.
• Double-tap or double-click setup.exe from the installation media, and then follow the steps.

• • The easiest way to convert an ISO file to a DVD is to use Windows Disc Image Burner.
  • Remember, trying out an early build like this can be risky. That's why we recommend that you don't install the preview on your primary home or business PC. Unexpected PC crashes could damage or even delete your files, so you should back up everything.
  • If you want to stop using Windows 10 Technical Preview and return to your previous version of Windows, you'll need to reinstall your previous version from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC—typically a DVD. If you don't have recovery media, you might be able to create recovery media from a recovery partition on your PC using software provided by your PC manufacturer. You'll need to do this before you upgrade. Check the support section of your PC manufacturer's website for more info.
  • After you install Windows 10 Technical Preview, you won’t be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version of Windows.

A preview for PC experts

Windows 10 Technical Preview is here today, but it’s a long way from done. We’re going to make it faster, better, more fun at parties...you get the idea. Join the Windows Insider Program to make sure you get all the new features that are on the way. If you’re okay with a moving target and don’t want to miss out on the latest stuff, keep reading. Technical Preview could be just your thing.

Download and install the preview only if you

• Want to try out software that’s still in development and like sharing your opinion about it.
• Don’t mind lots of updates or a UI design that might change significantly over time.
• Really know your way around a PC and feel comfortable troubleshooting problems, backing up data, formatting a hard drive, installing an operating system from scratch, or restoring your old one if necessary.
• Know what an ISO file is and how to use it.
• Aren't installing it on your everyday computer.

We're not kidding about the expert thing. So if you think BIOS is a new plant-based fuel, Tech Preview may not be right for you.

Things to keep in mind

Unexpected PC crashes could damage or even delete your files, so you should back up everything. Some printers and other hardware might not work, and some software might not install or work correctly, including antivirus or security programs. You might also have trouble connecting to home or corporate networks.

Also, if your PC runs into problems, Microsoft will likely examine your system files. If the privacy of your system files is a concern, consider using a different PC. For more info, read our privacy statement.

What does it work with?

Technical Preview should work with the same devices and programs that work with Windows 8.1, but you might need to update or reinstall some of them.

Drivers for basic functions like storage, networking, input, and display come with Windows. These drivers allow you to complete the Windows installation and connect to the Internet. You might be able to get more drivers from Windows Update.

If you use a mouse and keyboard

Your apps and devices should work as expected, though of course there will be exceptions. We’d love to know what you think about how the new Windows works with mouse and keyboard and whether it provides the best of new and familiar functionality for Windows and apps.

If you have a touch PC

Technical Preview works with touch, but some things will be rough and unfinished. More touch-friendly improvements are on the way. In the meantime, let us know what it’s like to interact with Windows and apps in the preview.

If you want to go back to your previous operating system

You'll need to reinstall your version of Windows from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC (typically DVD media). If you don't have recovery media:

• For Windows 7 or Windows Vista: Before you update, you might be able to create recovery media from a recovery partition on your PC using software provided by your PC manufacturer. Check the support section of your PC manufacturer's website for more info.
• For Windows 8.1 or Windows 8: You might be able to create a USB recovery drive. For more info, see Create a USB recovery drive. If you didn’t create a USB recovery drive before you installed the preview, you can create installation media forWindows 8.1.

LAN Messenger: An easy and lightweight Sharing Replacement

Imagine yourself and your friend working at two different ends of an office. You want to message/send any file and you don't have the internet. Just the LAN. 

These situations can make the work more troublesome than its actually meant to be. 

In these scenarios, a "novice level" simple interfaced software comes into existence to provide you with an innovative, simple and uncluttered interface. Now you can send instant messages/files over LAN, anywhere in the office, instantly and easily.

The app is called Lan Messenger, and it can be found, free of charge, over at Sourceforge. It works pan all major platforms – Windows, Mac and Linux.

Let’s Get Started

This app is currently at version 1.2.35 and the downloadable .exe file is of 11.5 MB size. Once you have downloaded it and completed the quick installation, it is time for setting things up. Obviously, for this to work, you will have to do the same installation and configuration for each computer within your network.

Features include, the ability to chat with others on your network. Also this includes secure chat, broadcasting messages to all users, exchange files with others and most importantly, all this without need for a server in your office.

Once installed, this app will make a home for itself in your system tray. Right click it and choose “Show LAN Messenger” to launch the service. From the small, G Talk-like window you can control a number of options.

What You Can Control

There is a short menu across the top of the window. Messenger allows you to open chat rooms. Tools provides the ability to attach files, view history and set preferences.

The third and last item is, unsurprisingly, Help. This provides the usual array of the actual help page, the about and the option to check for updates. But believe us, you won't be needing them anytime soon !

Among all of these, perhaps the most useful features, are the preferences and the chat options. These are probably where most users will be heading to, though preferences will likely be set once and left unless there is a necessary change.

The Preferences option has a number of options arrayed down the left column, including general, account, messages, history, alerts, network, file transfers, appearance and hotkeys. All of them allow you to track the history and tweak the service to do the work perfectly tailored to suit your work. 

For instance, appearance has an option for the look of the contacts list, while account allows you to give your name and even write a short biography in the about section – in case your family doesn't know you, I guess !

The Chat option lets you to open a new chat window and choose what contact you wish to include. Alternatively, you can make the message public so that everyone gets to participate.

Conclusion

The app is free, and things could not be more simple to use. Setup is easy and chatting with others on your local network can be figured out by even a novice user. The software is also open source, meaning it is vetted and should have no loopholes, not spyware of any kind. In the end, if you live in a home with 

multiple computers and users or a workplace with hundreds of staff, this is a service worth considering.
